I’ve decided to participate in this week’s Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Sculptures, Statues, Carvings.
As Cee says herself, “This week is all about showing off artwork. Some maybe quite simple and other quiet ornate and intricate. Have fun finding different sculptures, statues or carvings you enjoy. The more detailed your photos the better. I just want you to have some fun with your photography.”
So I dug through my old photos (which is the main reason I love these challenges) and found some pictures of my time in New York City a couple years ago. I had gone around the time the 9/11 memorial was completed and got the pleasure to see it up close. If I remember correctly, each little stream of water resembled a life. The day I saw it, it was raining, so some people drew hearts over their loved ones’ names. Here are some of my pictures in black and white:
My favorite picture is the rose one ❤ I think it looks even better in black and white now that I’ve changed it. Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I enjoyed rediscovering them!
Feel free to participate in the photo challenge! It’s a lot of fun to look through old pictures and remember old memories(:
